I agree there ought to be an easy way to set default programs like email, browser, wp editor, etc. somewhere in Control panel might be a good spot for this. Application manager would intuitively seem another option. Perhaps both spots could point to a common app to handle this stuff,.
I also agree about wishing for a T-bird port and easy way to sync platform address books.
