Trying to get IMAP going with GMAIL on my Nokia 770 updated to IT2006. Has anyone succeeded, or know how to further troubleshoot?
This client is not specifically supported by Google, however, they furnish network parameters for "other" clients at the user's risk. Receiving headers works as far as I have tried. Receiving e-mail bodies causes the e-mail client to lock up. (that is, if I set for receive headers only, and try to open a specific e-mail, the client locks up; if I set for receive header+body, then the client locks up when I next check e-mail at all.) Sending e-mail works as far as I have tried (not tried attachment, but did successfully send a text-only e-mail.) In receiving e-mail, I tried setting e-mail receive for TLS (didn't work at all) and SSL/IMAP4S (failed as above).
