I tried it on gregale, also. Openssl is the culprit
of failure, I think. Libssl is present, so mail
client and smtp sender have to use it. Would you
tell what client do you use, since you report the
success. If you can authenticate, you are on. No
problem at all.
My combination on bsd is mutt plus msmtp, using
gnutls/openssl. Works flawlessly.
