I think Argentina uses the same frequencies as the US, so I would be very 
surprised if those frequencies are not supported by the N900. Maybe the 
supported frequencies depend where you buy it?

I don't know if this is the case for the N900 (I hope not), but with the N80 
there was a funny problem. In Argentina the European version was sold as it 
supported the Spanish language, but it would not work on UMTS because it used 
the European bands. To have the N80 working on 3G you needed to buy it in the 
US, but in that case it would not support Spanish. Nice, ain't it?
