I also tried the for loop option with no success either: for i in `%{_datadir}/%{name}/basewsw/*`; do file=`basename $i` ln -sf $i %{gamelibdir}/basewsw/$file done /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.HdlyUk: line 7: /usr/share/warsow-data/basewsw/*: No such file or directory It seems as if the expression `%{_datadir}/%{name}/basewsw/*` (don't mind the left quotes, it happens the same with them or not) of the for loop wasn't being expanded and $i ends with the literal value '*'.
