The Ethernet cable is cat 6 and I assume that the shielding is adequate.

It should be.

This is a house so the Ethernet cable should be made from unshielded
twisted pairs, but it still shouldn't be a problem. The line
frequency
(50Hz?) is low enough that the twisted pairing should eliminate the
interference.

The only problem would be unwanted noise on the power line, which
would be caused by noise electronic equipment and large switched
loads. Noisy equipment will probably not be a problem because that
type of noise that would cause you a problem is well regulated. Noise
from a large switched load (air conditioner or refrigerator
starting/stopping) is in short, infrequent bursts so I doubt you will
even notice them.

Thanks Jeff, Ron and Doug,

I just thought that I'd ask while I still have a chance to move my cable. It would be difficult and I could only drill another hole 50mm from the existing hole.
