I'm new to ImageMagick and require some assistance creating an image to burn on a DVD. Looks like the sequence is:
1) cut a square out of the rectangular photo to match a DVD diameter. 2) create a white mask for material to turn opaque (matte channel). 3) mask off outer material leaving a square image, with a matte channel, showing through the circular image, converting image from jpg to png. 4) sharpen, lighten image. 5) compress image into gif with lowest number of colors, to optimize transfer speed to USB DVD burner/printer. 6) write required text in an arc across top and bottom of DVD image in color represented by one of the colors in the gif map.
