| I have downloaded some pdfs of old books from
| archive.org and I am wondering if I can save
| the single pages with IM/PM. For some
| reasons Acrobat 5 (Mac) shows errors
| while trying to parse the pages (some pages
| are shown blank) and there is no active
| menu option to save the pages it as single tiff
| files. Thank you!

If Acrobat (the offical PDF reader) is having problems, it is doubtful
anything will help you much.
Your best bet in that case may be screen captures from Acrobat, or
prehaps some image dump option that "acroread" may have. Not sure.
The only alturnative is to look at the file information and try to find
out what program was used to write that bad PDF file. Presumably that
program can read what it wrote!!!
