Greetings from the remote reaches of South West China. That type of bumpmap is already covered in IM Examples, Annotations, Watermarking. It is basically an extention of compound fonts with transparency. Not really difficult. I am sure the IM users forum member can help if you are having problems. The look of that example is of using a shade or beveled compount font to achieve the 3d look.
