This error is generated by the 3rd party library used for mailbox access and
seems to indicate that your system doesn't have the SSL libraries installed.

Error 80090302 is SEC_E_UNSUPPORTED_FUNCTION.
This means that his operating system doesn't support SSL.
The user probably has an ancient version of Windows and has never applied
any updates. Tell him to go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and
apply all the updates offered.
This includes updated versions of IE. Even if you don't use IE, you still
have to update it because it really is part of the operating system and
Pine calls those parts of the operating system to do SSL.
