No, it is not displayed in the background. Note though that I use Windows XP, while you seem to be using a GNU/Linux system. This could explain the difference, even if there should not be such difference. Could you give me some steps to do to see if I have the same behavior as you experience: it seems you have modal dialogs that do not show modal, but I never noticed that.
