 No, the accelerators are part of the string itself, i.e. you should try to
choose them in a logical (from French point of view) way but also make sure
there are no duplicate accelerators.

 Yes, of course.

 But this is something completely different. This is a real accelerator
(what we called with this word before would be better called "hot key").
I don't know if we should translate the accelerators like this. I think we
shouldn't but I can't really justify it. What do the others think?

 In any case, this is quite independent of the question above. I.e. whether
an item has Ctrl-F or not doesn't change the fact that it should also have
a hot key.
