OK. I have found where I can purchase the Platform SDK for about
USD$15 so will do that. I guess it will take some weeks to get to
Australia.

In the meanwhile, last night I turned off SSL as suggested and did a
Rebuild all with VC++ 6.0

All was going well till the following error...

Now I'm following / keeping uptodate copies of both the M and
wxWindows CVS'es and I have WX=D:\Wxwindows and WXWIN=D:\wxWindows
set.

Could it be that the M build process is picking these up and trying to
use them as as far as I can see the wxWindows build process does not
make a "D:\wxWindows\Release\wxWindows.lib"

Do I need to reset the above variables to something else when I do a M
build?

Vadim, when you build the w32 M presumeably using MS VC++ 6.0 SP5, do you
use the build commands within the IDE?

Maybe I need to find out a bit more what your windows development
setup consists of so I can duplicate it!

Also, give that you sem to have duplicated a lot of the needed bits of
wxwindows within the M CVS, what part does having the wxWindows CVS
play? Is there some requirement as the build_win.txt suggests?

TIA
