Maybe this is someting you and Vadim could discuss. 

Vadim, did you have any idea as to when you intended to work on new
Compose component? Any idea as to how long it would take? Do you have
all the underlying wxWindows bits you would need?

Robert, is there any likelihood you could fix the linewrap in the
current compose program?

Opening this up somewhat, what facilities do the rest of the people in
this group want in an editor - both initially and in the long term.

I intend to also start a thread in M-users to canvas what they might
like on the understanding that we are just canvassing requirements,
not that it is imminently going to be worked on.
