However, bold and underline can be encoded into plain text in such a way
that it looks good in plain text viewers. Italics and // looks equally
ugly in plain text and rich text. Some rich text features like quote
color, clickable URLs, and dynamic paragraphing don't affect message
format. It's true that once we start playing with this, people lose idea
what is compatible and what isn't and we will get bugreports demanding
reading/writing fonts, paragraphs, lists, ...
