If I choose iso8859-2 from the language menu here and type any 8bit text, M
warns that it will replace iso8859-2 with cp1250 and then uses it, i.e. I see
CHARSET=WINDOWS-CP1250 in "Compose|Preview..." in the composer.
What exactly do you do and what do you see in preview?
