In faxt, I have discovered it is even worse by closer examination. When you
click a folder in the list, it updates the message table but the first
unread message is in fact one one entry further "down" than the last msg in
the table so it doesn't display unless you hit the down arrow in the msg
table scrollbar for instance. The only time this doesnt seem to be the
caser is the obvious case where there are less messages than the default
number of entries in your message table. On my system 10 message details
display.

Yes, I agree. What exacerbates it is that the default folder list / msg
list highlight colour is a beige on a white background which does not
appear to be configurable within Mahogany prefs (presumeably inherited from
the Win XP default scheme). I think for my sanity / eyes I need it to be
the blue colour when selected and not selected. This might cause some
peoples sensibilities re where the focus is to be be worried but sometimes
Mahogany does strange focus behaviours anyway (presumeably platform
related).

Mahogany might look "prettier" under Windows but only slightly more so to
me than running under Linux / Gnome. Running under KDE it is just plain
ugly :-( (Beauty in the beholders eye etc ;-) )

Yes, I have two imap servers only, so I do similar using "all folders" at
the top of the folder tree.
