No. I just tried repeating the whole operation with a new mbox file and all went fine. So I stuck another type of file into the folder and imported it. That is when the problem arose. It seems like Mahogany tries first to delete the mail, and when it cannot (because it is not a mail file) it fails to delete the file. Again: this problem arose because *all* the files in a folder are imported (including e.g. summary files added by another MUA). These two issues are separate but interact.
