You are right. I think these two changes kind of collided as they were
submitted about the same time. I will review all the existing clone() methods
and make fixes.
NB that the clone() method must be updated when you add fields! think of it as
another pseudo-constructor (which is one reason Josh Bloch kind of argues
against clone()). May seem bad, but this is just the old copy() method, and it
does have its uses.
