Why do you think that the configuration of HK should be a part of the MM core? Like the Postorius configuration UI, HK is supposed to be a separable part of the overall system which is possibly running on an entirely separate host machine. As such, its daemon would be configured and operated as a distinct service. The linkage between the two systems should be in the form of a single reference.
