True enough, but mailman does have some built-in intelligence that you can make use of.


You can configure it to look at the complete list of recipients for a message, and if it finds a recipient that is explicitly listed and for which the exact same address appears on the mailing list, then mailman will choose not to send a duplicate copy of that message to the same address.
