I have installed MailMate in /Users/Shared/Applications/Net and it
works. 90% of my Applications are installed in
/Users/Shared/Applications/… since OSX 10.1 and I never had problems
because of this.
Yes, my problem was most likely related to launch services being
confused when an application is built and not “installed”.
