Thanks for the tip. I think the problem (at least one of them) is that I don’t really know where (in which mailbox) the app is searching when I click the arrow : the current mailbox, the Sent mailbox, anything else (the only thing I am sure is that it does not search in All Messages, which would have been fine)? So if I create a smart mailbox, I need to know where it will pick the messages. Of course the ideal would be that this smart mailbox “contains” the messages which have once been in the Sent mailbox, irrespective of the mailbox they are now, but I don’t think a rule can be designed to do this.

After I reply to an email, or forward it to someone else, I move these messages to mailboxes which are not necesssarily identical to the one where the original message is located (especially when the original message is still in the Inbox). How can I access these messages, starting from the original message? When I click twice on the straight or curved arrow that indicates the message has been answered or forwarded, I do not access anything (except, apparently, when the reply is still located in the Reply mailbox). Am I doing anything wrong?

Perhaps you want to create a "smart" mailbox that includes messages in both mailboxes (e.g., both the Inbox and the mailbox to which you move the message). If you view messages in the "smart" mailbox, see if that shows the full thread.
