I recently changed the font used when composing messages. Before, I
was using Menlo 12pt. I switched to Helvetica 14pt. Now, when I reply
to an email, the quoted text only fills 50% the width of my compose
window. If I use a monospaced font to compose, the quoted text fills
100% of the compose window.
At first, I thought Helvetica is just a narrower typeface, but it
seems more than that.
The problem is that the reflowing done for quoted text only really works
for fixed width fonts. But this is purely a cosmetic problem in the
composer itself. The email you send will not be like this. It'll wrap
(or not wrap) lines correctly for both plain text and HTML parts.
