Or the receiver (final hop or not) has different technical capabilities for 
filtering IPv6 and IPv4 message sources. For example, RBL operators haven't 
(yet?) scaled to mapping bad IPv6 space to the same level as IPv4 space. This 
means that (as Alex already noted) domain reputation may come into play more 
than with IPv4 sources, particularly for smaller sites.

Until technical parity exists between how each space is evaluated, they'll be 
treated differently.
