I'm not sure if you understand you well. Marginal? It's a pretty common
MTA configuration to reject mail from domains that have neither A nor
MX
record. From mail point of view, such domain does not exist.
MX is optional not required if A/AAAA exists with same domain, many
admins say if MX does not exists. then domain does not want email, this
is fails also, hope more mta admins know this
