For example: bcrc.org.uk is a sports club. It has a booking system. If one member wishes to email another member about a booking, they can email [email protected] without needing to know the personal email of the recipient, which is not published. (Of course, if the recipient replies, that will reveal their email but that's their choice, not mine.) The officers of the club have role-based addresses as well. Yes, I could run a mailbox service on the system (and in fact I do), but many of the officers are not techy, and do not wish to manage multiple email accounts. Also, of course, there are the member, committee, etc. mailing lists - mailing lists are no different from forwarding. I do SRS to handle all these. At present it seems to work for everybody, except when Microsoft glitches. _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list [email protected] https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
