In security matters there is no "one size fits all" approach. Each potential
attack vector needs to be analyzed and assessed individually. You need to
think like an attacker and ask yourself a question: can I, as an attacker,
abuse this somehow?

If something can be a potential security threat, then of course you should
block it. If not, Postel's rule still applies.
