I love Mailplane for use at home, and I use the license to support it at work too, but I must be able to attach files from either the services menu or from within apps that support attaching files directly. OS X Services would be the way to go for Mailplane, I don't see why something so fundamental has not been implemented yet. This and contextual menu support would finally give GMail what it sadly lacks; true integration with the Desktop. Since Mailplane can compose in a separate window, this seems like a no-brainer.
