Hello all. This problem started for me right about the time Google turned https on by default for everyone.
When opening Mailplane, it spends a very long time on the Gmail 'Loading...' page. Usually around a minute, but up to 3 minutes isn't unusual either. When I open my Gmail account in Safari however, it loads in the usual couple of seconds. I've noticed that if I turn off https in Gmail settings, things return to normal in Mailplane, but despite having https turned on in Mailplane, I don't get the wee padlock in the status bar. In addition, if I load the basic HTML view of Gmail in Mailplane, or Command+Sign Out, then log back in, loading speed is normal.
