my non-hosted account (the one i'm writing from) was having this problem, not loading unless i switch to Basic HTML, but my hosted account did not (and still does not have this problem); relaunching MailPlane did not change anything, so i tried it in Safari, and it didn't load, but i think i found the magic incantation
in brief: you have to load Gmail in a browser and click through a Buzz ad; then you have to log out, which may not work from your gmail page, so try loading the plain google.com URL and immediately signing out; then (i hypothesize) when you next log in Google knows you've seen the Buzz ad so it skips it, which keeps Mailplane from stalling too here's how i came to that conclusion: after Mailplane stalled, in Safari, i attempted to load Gmail, which failed, so accepted the offer to disable Offline an ad for Buzz loaded, to which i clicked something like "no, go to gmail", and then Gmail loaded (sans Offline) then i turned Offline back on, it synchronized ... then i clicked Sign out from the Gmail page, upon which a bunch of strange redirects quickly loaded and i got a Safari message "too many redirects ...", same error on several further attempts to load mail.google.com so i loaded google.com (not gmail.google.com) and saw that i was logged in; clicking Gmail, got "too many redirects" again; loaded google.com again and click Sign out, finally ending my session then i clicked Sign in and entered my credentials, clicked Gmail and finally got a good load (Offline still enabled, and synchronized); after this i was once again able to load this account normally in Mailplane -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mailplaneapp" group.
