I've done some testing with #1346, 1347 and 1348. I got slightly different results from Jim, but here they are. #1346 (no Flash, no plugins) - Does not trigger NVIDIA, either with the GoogleTalk plugin installed on my system or not: http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4un/1346-no-googletalk http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4wk/1346-with-googletalk #1347 (Flash enabled, no other plugins) - NVIDIA is triggered, whether GoogleTalk plugin is installed or not: http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4w2/1347-no-googletalk-plugin http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4w5/1347-with-googletalk #1348 (current pre-release) - NVIDIA is triggered, whether GoogleTalk is installed or not. Also does not matter if I have Chat enabled or not: http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4ab/1348-no-googletalk http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4ag/1348-with-googletalk http://skitch.com/stevekim/de4ak/1348-with-googletalk-chat-disabled So, I think this result confirms what you were hinting at with #1347 -- the Flash plugin all by itself is enough to trigger NVIDIA. Let me know if I can help with any more testing; I'm not a Mac developer, but I sure wish they'd open up this graphic switching API so devs could make it a per-applicaiton setting or something.
