The US Naval Academy is looking forward to hosting the 2012 MAISA Spring
Open. Since many of the teams registered for the event are not regulars to
our home regattas, there are some important things to note about attending
events at Navy.

First, all teams must apply for a pass to drive on the yard at least 7 days
in advance. The request for a pass can be done online at
http://www.navysports.com/ot/navy-visitors-team-officials.html

Username: team

Password: go2navy!

You will not likely receive any sort of confirmation, but if you fill out
the form correctly, you will be allowed to drive onto the Academy.

We will sail A and B divisions at the same time, with one division in FJs
and the other in 420s, with the fleets swapping boats approximately half way
through the regatta.

Since everyone will be on the water all day, we will send the fleet back to
the dock for a lunch break. There isn't any way to get food once you are
here, so you should bring everything you will need for the day with you when
you come in the morning.

LT Ben Herring will be here as regatta chair and PRO with a team of
Midshipmen helping run the races. The courses will be Windward / Leewards
and the course will be set in the Severn River near the Robert Crown Center
and Triton Point.
