I am president of the Buffalo Maritime Center, 90 Arthur St., Buffalo, NY 14207, 716 881 9111, www.buffalomaritimecenter.org. We are an independent 501C3 not for profit community based organization. Most of our 140 member are sailors and many have Coast Guard Licenses. We are affiliated with several local Sailing Yacht Clubs and would like to encourage some of the nearby colleges to develop a sailing program. We understand that University of Buffalo has an active program and we have ties with Canisius College and Buffalo State College. Also The Buffalo Yacht Club has a High School Sailing program for students planning on going . I would appreciate any information that you may be able to give me to help us get organized to further the sailing interests in the Buffalo area.
