I am usually able to upgrade from one version to another after a quick test.
However this time I am receiving the following message when I try to get to
mantis 1.1.0 -
Database query failed. Error received from database was #1193: Unknown system
variable 'NAMES' for the query: SET NAMES UTF8
I did the following:
1. verified my mantis 1.0.8 worked on my test version
2. set up the new mantis 1.1.0 directory and custom php files.
3. Ran the admin checking, installing/upgrade, all of which is successful.
4 Accessed the site and got the error above.
I am on Solaris 9 if that matters at all. Thanks for any help.
