Hello, I am interested in finding out the context and intended meaning of Virgil's quote: "A snake lurks in the grass". So far, I have been provided with the source: Eclogues 3.93: "Frigidus, o pueri (fugite hinc!), latet anguis in herba" ("A cold snake lurks in the grass, boys: fly hence"). Can anyone tell me more? Many thanks in advance, Dave McLean
