(context follows) I haven't been bothered by the off-topic postings the listowner talks about (except the one offering mortgages) but I can see his point. The MAGNA PECUNIA posting and the query on the Harington neo-Latin quote would have fit in well on the Classics-L list, but they didn't really have anything to do with Vergil.
There is a general Classics listserv, and one on Ovid, too (although the latter has been pretty inactive lately).
