Any suggestions on how to "get that to stick"? The table most
definitely has a primary key (which was set in SQL Server). In fact,
after I configure the columns of my table, when I preview the data
connection, the table is listed, and the primary key has an asterisk
next to it. However, it also says "no geometry" even though I checked
the geometry checkbox and set the x and y columns.

That would be the problem - you definitely need to have a primary key
defined in order for the "geometry" to work. To be thorough, what field
types are your x, y and primary key fields? Odds are though, it's the
primary key thing - if you can get that to stick, I think you'll be set.

Hmmm...Getting closer. Maestro 2.1.4 allowed me to edit the schema and
set the x & y columns of the table, but the "geometry" list is still
blank when I try to create a layer from that table. For some reason, it
doesn't want to remember the primary key of that table, either.

I would try a 2.x version of Maestro for fun - I've run into some
problems with ODBC and Maestro v3.x, though they are being fixed...I
don't think that any updates have been released.

Are you running Maestro 3.1? It seems ok.
