David,

In MiPro 6.0 all new windows including layouts are created using
Preferred Printer (which can be windows default) information. This
information is persistent on a per window basis. You can override
individual window information through Page Setup dialog, but this will
change printer, paper orientation and papersize only on this particular
window.
You can try to use RUN MENU COMMAND M_EDIT_PREFERENCES_PRINTER or RUN
MENU COMMAND 217 (if running from MapBasic window) in your application
instead of using Page Setup dialog. This will bring up MapInfo Preferred
Printer dialog, where you can set Preferred printer and papersize. Once
user pressed OK button is this dialog, these setting will be used for all
new layouts, that will be created and printed after that.

Hi there,

Can anyone confirm that MapInfo 6.0 reverts to the windows default printer
and paper size (or the preferred printer set up under the options menu) for
each new layout opened, irrespective of changes made using the page setup
menu?

If anyone has a fix (other than going back to 5.5), I'd be very happy to
hear it, as I have quite a few applications that rely on the user using
page
setup to set a non-standard paper size before making and printing multiple
layouts.
