Hi,

FME can also convert USGS DEM files to MapInfo; Safe Software has just
released the beta for USGS DEM. You can download a free evaluation at
ftp://ftp.safe.com/fme/fme435.exe. You will also need to contact
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to receive an activation code (in your email, include the
registration code you are provided with at the ftp site).

Good Luck,
Allison Northrop

Subject: MI USGS DEM files to MapInfo?

Hi,

Managed to download USGS DEM file. I want to be able to open it in MapInfo.
What kind of trick is required? Probably some translation software is
involved?

The extensions involved are: .DEM, .DMW, .SCH, .HDR, .SRC, .STX, .PRJ

Best regards,

Ole Frank
