Given that Mark is a smart guy and given that being President of a tech
company doesn't require any in depth knowledge of the product's capabilities
and weaknesses, it is still tragic irony that a product with MapInfo's
inherent technical strengths is relegated to "Enterprise Opportunities" that
could readily be handled by Maptitude. Captain Jack is on almost any
national and international mapping advisory board you can think of and he's
only held back ArcView because it would cripple the ArcInfo cash cow if it
started to approach the power MapInfo has out of the box without a bazillion
add-on modules.

I can sense the frustrations of a couple of the founding smart guys when one
of them creates a new company and the level of free expert advice from
another one starts to dramatically increase.
