I downloaded a census block file for Cass County, Missouri. I used the
Arklink>ArcInfo to MapInfo translator. I then opened the new table in
MapInfo. Looked very good. However, it was in Non-Earth (meters). I
wanted it in Nad83(Long/Lat). So I 'Save Copy As' and put it in Long/Lat
(NAD83). Several things happened.
1. The table does not look the same. I had 4500 objects in the original
file. Now I have what looks like 11 objects. But I cannot select them. My
browser file still lists 4500 records.
2. This county maps somewhere down towards Cuba, not western Missouri.
Can someone tell me what is going on?
One more thing, I noticed there is a new choice for types of projections.
Right below the Long/Lat choice is a second Long/Lat (v 6.0 projections).
Why do they have two choices for Long/Lat? Nad83 is NOT a choice under the
v 6.0 projections.
As always, Thanks in Advance.
