Recently I asked listers the following question: I have a workspace that is accessed by a number of Proviewer users. In attempting to do a find on an address location the result is missing by an amount equal to what I believe are the default offsets one typically encounters in MI. I believe I need to set the find options (that are available in MI under the Query>Find>Options dialog) so my inset is -0- and my offset from the street is 40 feet. Unfortunately I don't have this option on the Proviewer Find Command. I suspect that there is some code I can insert in my workspace to accommodate this issue. The solution was provided by Ethan Hohneck who noted firstly that if we were using a version of Proviewer older than 6.0 the solution might not work. He suggested the following statement - find using mytable(myfield)options inset 0 distance units "ft" offset 40 distance units "ft" symbol makesymbol(46,16711680,18) - and it works just fine! Thank you Ethan. And thanks to John, Martin and Jacques who also responded.
