The phantom line problem does seem to be related to the number of nodes a
region object has. Curiously it doesn't happen at all with polylines. It
seems that the limit is around 400 nodes per region, if you have many more
nodes the phantom lines appear.

Subject: MI-L Another problem with Adobe Distiller

I have run in to similar problems using Adobe Acrobat writer and plotting on
HP plotters.

It seems to have something to do with the way that MapInfo creates
Postscript output. If you create an Adobe Acorbat PDF file from
your map and open it in Illustrator you will be able to see the problem at
some zoom scales. It seems to disappear as you zoom in.

The postscript file reduces your polygons into rectangular blocks (kind of
like quadtree rasters), the more detail the smaller the
blocks it creates. These blocks overlap and sometimes when you print the
overlapping doesn't seem to work properly and you see the
lines between the blocks on the print.

I haven't found a way around it. But I am pretty sure MapInfo's print
routines are to blame.

Please let me know if you find a work around or can get any more
information.

Thanks
