Hi Norman, Thank you for the idea, however the grid maker is not accurate enough to be used in conjuction with my native file. Wish it was though, this would definatley be the preffered way to go!

Hi Ryan If I ndersand you well, you need to create grids for the area you are working on. Yes, it is going to be too many to create by hand. Try the following: Click Tools, >Tool Manager Tool Manager will appear with all the available tools or functions that you can use in MapInfo. Then Scroll down to "Grid Marker", Click on the box under Loaded to activate "Grid Marker", a tool box will appear. Then move the mouse pointer on the extreme right icon, that is "Create Grid" icon, then select the area you want to create you grids, MapInfo will display a window which allows you to change settings. What I would is to only change the directory where I want my table saved and perhaps give it a new name, e.g. SA_Grids. Then click OK to create grids automatically. You will now have the table with grids you have created. You can edit the grid in many diferent ways to fit your own needs. I'm trying to quarter a township, range, and section grid to show a NW, NE, SW, and SE quarter in a separate layer. Is there an easy way of doing this? I'm looking at close to 20,000 cells, way too many to do by hand. TIA and Happy Holidays!
