Thanks to Mats E who replied so well that a workspace can in no way be
opened in AutoCAD, and there is indeed no tool to do such a thing. I
wondered if there might be a way of "saving window as..." something other
than a raster, but of course all the attributes would be lost by doing that,
and I'm not even sure rasters can be imported into AutoCAD.

I have a client who is exporting MapInfo .TAB files to AutoCAD and wants to
know if it is possible to export a MapInfo workspace to AutoCAD rather than
the individual MapInfo tables? 

I would make a guess that it isn't possible, but as I'm not an AutoCAD user,
if anyone's more knowledgeable could you let me know?
