I'm using the OSM stylesheet and switching from AGG to Cairo. I've noticed that the halos generated by Cairo are smaller than the ones generated by AGG.
For example if I increase the halo radius from 2 (used with AGG) to 6, then I can get roughly the same effect from Cairo.
