Hi Andy, I assume you are comparing halos between the AA AGG output and vector output of Cairo?
I've also noted an apparent difference in Halo size, but have not had time to develop a test case (one part of which would be comparing AGG png output to Cairo PNG output). If you could prepare a simple test case and attach to a ticket I'll try to take a look at this in more detail. I agree that manually changing radius values in your XML is not optimal.
