Hi, I hope this time the question I am putting, will be more sensible than the previous one !
Here it goes... I have installed postgressql 8.4.1 through yast in opensuse 11.2. Then I followed the link : http://code.google.com/p/dbsgeo/source/browse/trunk/ubuntu/F-GIS%20Source%20code%20installations?spec=svn25&r=25 and duly installed the following: geos proj-4.6.0 postgis-1.3.6 I executed the steps from line number 74 to 88 w.r.t http://code.google.com/p/dbsgeo/source/browse/trunk/ubuntu/F-GIS%20Source%20code%20installations?spec=svn25&r=25 Now as per line number 92, of the above shown link I issued the command: psql -d template_postgis -U postgres -f /usr/share/lwpostgis.sql It resulted in the following error: psql:/usr/share/lwpostgis.sql:6522: ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block I searched through google but couldnt get anything out of it !
