Hi,
I'm using WGS84 projection for my topo map GIS data, and use this
parameter for my osm.xml:

<Map srs="+proj=merc +a=6378137 +b=6378137 +lat_ts=0.0 +lon_0=0.0 +x_0=0.0
+y_0=0 +k=1.0 +units=m +nadgrids=@null +no_defs +over">

You can see may sample result as follow:

http://maps.navigasi.net/index.php?y=-8.40833&x=116.41319&z=13

But I don't know, mapnik sometimes make wrong result at:

http://maps.navigasi.net/index.php?y=-8.19176&x=110.71912&z=9

but there's no problem if I try zoom into level 10:

http://maps.navigasi.net/index.php?y=-8.19176&x=110.71912&z=10

I tested using nik2img, both zoom level has same correct result, so I don't
know how to fix this problem :(
